He is most well-known for his role in launching three de novo retail channels for prominent companies in the field over the last 15 years. First, he spearheaded the establishment of the retail channel for Pacific Union Financial (PUF), which later went on to be acquired by Mr. Cooper. Following that success, Brian took on the challenge of launching a retail channel for Cardinal Financial, now one of the largest in the nation. Most recently, he was the Chief Growth Officer for Summit Funding, and just prior to that role led the creation of a retail channel for Sun West Mortgage Company, becoming the 36^th largest retail lender in the US in less than 3 years.

Brian Mitchell’s passion for the mortgage industry began in the late 1990s when he embarked on his career as a loan originator in The Woodlands, Texas. Starting in 1993, he quickly made a name for himself in the field. His dedication and exceptional performance led to being nominated and subsequently recognized as one of the top 20 originators in the country by FHLMC (Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation).

The pinnacle of Brian’s origination career came when he proudly stood on stage at the 1999 NAMB (National Association of Mortgage Brokers) convention in New Orleans to accept this prestigious award. This recognition not only solidified his position as a standout originator but also highlighted his unwavering commitment to excellence.
